Devshop Inc. ("Devshop" or "we") is committed to maintaining the accuracy, security and privacy of your personal and business information (“Information”). Because we gather important Information from our visitors and customers, we have established this Policy as a means to communicate our information gathering and dissemination practices. We reserve the right to change this Policy and will provide notification of the change at least thirty (30) business days prior to the change taking effect. What Information do we collect?

We require customers who register to use the services offered on Devshop.com to give us contact information, such as your name, company name, address, phone number, and e-mail address, and financial qualification and billing information, such as billing name and address, credit card number, and the number of users within the organization that will be using the Devshop services. In the event you express interest in attaining additional information, or when you register for the Devshop services, we may also ask for additional personal information, such as title, department name, fax number, or additional company information, such as annual revenues, number of employees, or industry. You can opt out of providing this additional information by not entering it when asked. Subscribers to the services can update or remove their personal information at any time by logging into the Website and editing your Personal Information within your account. You can view your updated profile to confirm that your edits have been made.

What do we do with it?

We collect and use your Information for the following purposes:

  1. to establish and manage customer relationships and provide notifications to you. This may include the sharing of Information by and between Devshop personnel for support purposes;
  2. to consider whether Devshop should establish a commercial relationship with customers, suppliers and other third parties, including to evaluate credit standing and to match credit bureau or credit reporting agency information;
  3. to establish and maintain commercial relationships with subscribers, such as administering accounts, collection and processing payments and to fulfill contractual obligations;

To whom do we disclose your Information?

Except as set out below, Devshop does not disclose your Information to third parties.

All financial and billing information that we collect through Devshop.com is used solely to check the qualifications of prospective customers and to bill for the service. This billing information is not used by Devshop for marketing or promotional purposes. Devshop uses a third-party intermediary to manage the credit card processing. This intermediary is solely a link in our fee collection process and is not permitted to store, retain, or use the information provided, except for the sole purpose of credit card processing.

We also collect, on an aggregated and non-identifiable basis, statistics and other information about projects in order that we can better understand how Devshop can be improved and enhanced.

Where do we store your Information?

Your Information is stored in secured locations and on servers controlled by Devshop, located at the offices of our service provider, Rackspace.com.

How do we protect your Information?

To help protect the confidentiality of your Information, Devshop employs administrative and technological safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of your Information. For instance, we operate secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems. In addition, where Information is sent to a third party for processing, we make sure, through our contracts with them, that all such Information is kept secure.

Privacy and our Website

  1. Cookies - When an individual visitor accesses the Devshop website, we may use a browser feature called a ‘cookie' to collect information such as the type of Internet browser and operating system the visitor uses, the domain name of the website from which the visitor came, date and duration of the visit, number of visits, average time spent on our website, pages viewed and number of cookies accumulated. A cookie is a small text file containing a unique identification number that identifies the visitor's browser, but not necessarily the visitor, to our computers each time our website is visited. Unless a visitor specifically informs us (e.g. by registering for an event or sending us correspondence from the website), we will not know who the individual visitors are. In addition to the identified purposes described in our Privacy Policy, we may use this website information and share it with other organizations with whom we have a commercial relationship to measure the use of our website, to improve the functionality and content of the website and to facilitate usage by a visitor. Changes to the Privacy Policy

Devshop reserves the right to modify or supplement this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make a change to this Privacy Policy, we will post such changes on our website and make such revised policy and changes available upon request to the Devshop Chief Privacy Officer. However, Devshop will obtain the necessary consents required under applicable privacy laws if it seeks to collect, use or disclose your Personal Information for purposes other than those to which consent has been obtained unless otherwise required or permitted by law.
